My name is William Garrison. Currently, I am a Professor and Faculty Chair for online professors in the Northwest United States for DeVry University and have worked for DeVry University for the past 14 years as a High School Programs Representative, an Academic Administrator, and a Professor.

I was born in the Central Valley of California and have lived here for over 45 years. My grandparents came from Oklahoma with their 5 kids back in the 40s during the Great Depression and started out in California as farm workers. I'm also a descendant of Italian immigrants that came to the United States back in the early 1900s.

After graduating from Wasco High School, I attended Bakersfield College for two years and participated in the BC Band and the BC Football Team. I then transferred and graduated from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) 3 years later with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies (Teaching) with a minor in American History. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Education from CSUB and my MBA (Management and Leadership) from the University of LaVerne. Since that time, I have also earned an Associate’s Degree in Web Graphic Design and another Bachelors of Science in Sales and Marketing from DeVry University.

I have taught 6th grade & 8th grade English. I have owned my own landscaping and lawn service business. I have also ran several Direct Sales businesses out of my home. But I have learned the most by watching my parents run their insurance business over the last 30 years!

I am married and am a father of 5 kids (Isaiah - 22, Bella 21, Belicia 17, Belianna 15, & Abigail 15). I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoy watching NASCAR, and love to play and watch soccer. I love to travel in my 2017 Forest River Sunseeker RV and to hang out at my parents' cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
