Dr. Bashker Biswas is a Senior Professor at DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management. He has taught at various universities since 1984 - Golden Gate University, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, Chapman University, Sacramento State University, Ohlone College, MTI College and Kaplan University Online, Northcentral University, and DeVry University.

Dr. Biswas holds B.A., M.A., M.B.A., and Ph.D. degrees. His Ph.D. is in Finance & Accounting applied to Human Resource Management. He has been selected to be a candidate for the Fulbright Specialist Roster. He is a 2015 TEACH Honoree at DeVry Education Group.

Dr. Biswas has authored and co-authored many articles in Accounting and Finance applied to Human Resource Management. He has also authored four books:

In his essay, Dr. Bashker Biswas discusses the transformation of labor into human capital as a factor of production in a firm. He also highlights the importance of human capital management in modern firms and how it is a critical factor in improving organizational productivity. Finally, Dr. Biswas traces the journey from the traditional concept of labor as an economic factor to the current human capital conceptualization.
